It's a good CV but get the wrong match up or a good CV player and the ranger can struggle and it come's down to sometimes how you want to play the match do you cover your strike force, focus on giving AA cover to team and strike when your not busy with fighters or just try and do it all and hope it works.
World of warships sucks how to#
The only major problem Ranger has is that it only has 1 fighter squad if you get matched up with someone that knows how to play CV it makes your job a lot harder, having more ammo for your fighters helps a lot when dealing with the amount of squads you can face be it a IJN CV with a 2-2-2 loadout. Look at the results (hold on, it's my CIS account): But I don't think there is a big problem with her. I've discovered, that it's my first battle on Ranger after tests. If you haven't learned it yet, strafing is your friend and your only hope for breaking even or beating the enemy.ĭead horse nevertheless can do a lot if you make your best and don't only fight opponent CV. This was back when we had to choose between strike or AS so while you'll be missing that bomber, you'll actually be able to defend yourself from the enemy a bit. DD's are almost always frontline and almost never covered so it made for faster turn arounds while either outright robbing the enemy of those ships or putting those ships so on tilt that they weren't effective the rest of the match. Or.you know, if you fight another Ranger who is only as good as you are.įor me, I had the most success by making it my personal mission at the start of every match to hunt down and wipe out or hamper every single DD on the enemy team before moving on to juicier targets. Every other CV is going to be better than you, which means that you're only going to win if their captains play worse.

Which.sounds obvious I am sure, but in the Ranger and Lex's case its far worse than usual. You'll probably have one or two people come and tell you they don't but in reality, she's heavily dependent on the skill of the opponent CV.
